His Correction Rod

Christ’s sheep are warriors on a spiritual battlefield,

where cannot be seen are the weapons we wield.

On Power’s side we exchange blows with Principality,

whose missiles are felt in pained reality;

for Satan strikes body and heart to form a deadly deal,

determined to impress upon us death’s seal.

Christ’s soldiers do comprehend the power of words spoken;

understanding Truth is God’s mighty token

while Lucifer’s lies are his power of vile destruction;

thus, we bear only Word’s sword for construction,

praying for the wicked and filthy to be awoken,

that they be not crushed: rather for Christ broken.

Send not away messengers of Truth from God,

for by their words they bear His correction rod

to turn you back from forever ash and sod.

In frantic rage, that chthonic Devil will knock you down;

hoping to twist your mind and spin you around,

attempting to fill you up with his deceitful mind game:

be warned, he does it all in Jesus’ good name

while singing a song to harps strumming a heavenly sound.

Beware, lest he hammers you into the ground.

His beautiful side does mimic the Light he hopes you buy;

though if you turn to follow it, flawed you cry.

God then will take away the power of His words from you,

putting upon you all the things of fear, too.

Be not deceived by Satan’s illusive light on the fly,

for it brings on God’s fire and you will twice die.

Turn not away messengers of Truth from God,

for by their words they bear His correction rod

to turn you back from forever ash and sod.
